What we do

Troubleshooting and repairs

Electrical problems rarely fix themselves, and some get worse quietly behind the walls. We track down the root cause, explain what is going on and repair it to code.

If you smell burning or see smoke, leave the building and call 911 first. For everything else, call us at (905) 931-4522.

Why it matters

Warning signs you should never ignore.

If you notice any of these, stop using the affected circuit and call a licensed electrician.

Flickering or dimming lights

Especially when large appliances turn on, or in more than one room.

Heat, buzzing or burning smells

Warm outlets, buzzing panels and scorch marks point to a problem that needs attention now.

Breakers that keep tripping

A breaker that trips again and again is protecting you from something. Resetting it is not a fix.

Questions

Troubleshooting and repairs FAQ.

Do not see your question? Call us at (905) 931-4522.

All questions
Why does my breaker keep tripping?

A breaker trips to protect the circuit, usually because of an overload, a short circuit or a ground fault. Repeated trips mean something needs attention, and resetting the breaker over and over is not a fix.

Can you fix deficiencies from a home inspection?

Yes. We review the inspection report, confirm the issues on site and correct them to code.

What should I do if I smell burning?

Leave the building and call 911. Once the fire department has made it safe, call a licensed electrician to find and repair the cause.
